We have a great opportunity for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join our Horsham branch. This is an important role within the yard team, helping to ensure stock is handled safely and efficiently while delivering excellent service to both customers and colleagues.
- What you’ll be doing
- Picking customer orders and loading/unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Operating the forklift to move, store and organise stock throughout the yard.
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised, maintaining high presentation standards.
- Carrying out daily checks and reporting any defects on plant and equipment.
- Reporting any health & safety concerns promptly.
- Assisting customers collecting materials from the branch.
- Supporting the wider branch team with day-to‑day yard operations.
- What we’re looking for
- Valid Forklift Truck licence with practical operating experience.
- Experience working in a builders' merchant environment (preferred).
- A positive, can‑do attitude and a strong focus on customer service.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Able to work independently and as part of a busy team.
- Good attention to detail and a strong awareness of health & safety.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Please note: due to the branch location, you will need your own reliable transport.
