The Role
As an SEN English Teacher, you will
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to small class groups.
- Support students who may have experienced barriers to learning with mainstream education.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning, social, and emotional needs.
- Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff.
- Monitor progress against individual learning plans and EHCP outcomes.
- Inspire students to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Has experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Understands the challenges faced by students with SEND, SEMH or associate needs.
- Is resilient, patient and passionate about inclusive education.
- Can build strong, positive relationships with young people.
- Is committed to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
