Titan Recruitment Solutions Bristol are currently recruiting for Food Production Operatives to join our client, a well-established food manufacturing business producing jams, marmalades, curds, fruit cheeses, flavour vinegars and health food products for major UK retailers.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and growing manufacturing team.

The role offers consistent weekday hours, with the potential to secure a permanent position after three months for the right candidate, based on performance.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 36-hour working week

Pay Rate

  • Weekly pay through Titan Recruitment Solutions

The Role

Successful candidates will work across a variety of departments within the factory, including Production, Label Room and Gift Packing.

Production Duties

  • Loading glass jars onto conveyor belts and inspecting for defects or foreign bodies.
  • Lifting boxes of fruit (up to 15kg) onto sorting tables.
  • Sorting and weighing fruit according to recipes.
  • Assisting cooks by loading ingredients into cooking kettles.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy production environment.

Label Room Duties

  • Inspecting labels and best-before dates for accuracy.
  • Packing jars into trays.
  • Operating alongside the shrink-wrapping process.
  • Stacking finished products onto pallets to customer specifications.

Gift Packing Duties

  • Folding presentation boxes and dividers.
  • Packing gift products by hand.
  • Attaching tags and tamper-evident labels.
  • Boxing and labelling finished products ready for dispatch.

Requirements

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
  • Comfortable working in a warm manufacturing environment.
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Reliable, proactive and willing to learn.
  • Able to follow strict food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • This is a food production environment with strict food safety procedures.
  • The factory operates in a warm environment due to the cooking process.
  • Nuts and nut-based products are not permitted on site.
  • Employees must report any sickness or diarrhoea immediately and must not attend work until at least 48 hours after their last symptoms, in line with food safety regulations.
