The Best Connection (Newcastle) are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HIAB Driver for our long-standing client based in the Benton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for consistent, ongoing work with a reputable construction equipment specialist.

The Role

  • Safe operation of a Class 2 vehicle.
  • Delivering and collecting non-mechanical plant and formwork equipment to construction sites across the North East.
  • Operating the HIAB crane for loading/unloading (Remote or Manual).
  • Ensuring all loads are secure and paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Adhering to all tachograph and road safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Valid Category C (Class 2) Licence.
  • Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR HIAB certificate (Remote or Manual).
  • Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points for minor offences (No DD/DR/IN).
  • Good knowledge of the North East road network.

Pay and Hours

  • £16.50 per hour (Flat rate).
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Typical start times from 07:00 - 08:00.
