We are seeking a reliable, hard-working general labourer for a short-term contract role on a residential new build housing development in Hessle.
This position offers an immediate start for a dependable site operative.
Working alongside the site management team, you will play a key role in keeping the development running smoothly, safely, and on schedule by maintaining plot cleanliness and assisting site trades.
Key Duties
- Assisting skilled trades on-site with moving and distributing materials to various plots.
- Sweeping out plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety standards.
- Assisting the Site Manager with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
- Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as required across the development.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (New build housing experience preferred).
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent punctuality.
- Ability to follow health and safety instructions around live plots and machinery.
- Based in or easily commutable to Hessle for early morning starts.
