Job Description
Are you passionate about Warehouse and Logistics and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics company? We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Heathfield site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks and Articulated Pivot Trucks, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods. A valid and up-to-date forklift licence is desirable.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring all goods are handled safely, securely, and in accordance with company procedures.
- Accurately complete order picking, stock movements, and dispatch activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Zebra PDA scanners, and other warehouse technology.
- Receive, locate, replenish, consolidate, rotate, and dispatch stock, maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
- Use Excel and other digital systems to carry out stock checks, basic reporting, inventory control activities, and operational administration tasks.
- Complete all required warehouse documentation and paperwork accurately, following company procedures and reporting any stock discrepancies, equipment defects, or operational issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment, ensuring all equipment is operated responsibly and kept in good working condition.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workplace safety.
Required Experience
- Hold a current Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work within a fast paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

£31,395 per annum.
Hours
Monday to Friday, working on a rotating two-week shift pattern:
- Week 1: 06:00hrs - 16:00hrs
- Week 2: 08:00hrs - 18:00hrs
Overtime
Paid at an hourly rate. Rest day working paid.
