SONA is a new multi-floor movement and wellbeing studio opening on Upper Street in Islington, with a dedicated reformer floor, treatment rooms and a sauna. We are hiring our Head of Pilates to lead the reformer floor and build the founding teaching team.
Position: Head of Pilates, permanent, part time, on site
Hours: around 20 hours per week plus 6 taught classes, a mix of weekday mornings and evenings and one weekend morning
Start date: around opening, exact date agreed together
What you will do:
lead the reformer floor, own class programming and teaching standards, mentor and support the teaching team, teach 6 classes a week plus some 1-2-1 work, and share front of house duties with the wider team.
What we are looking for:
Level 3 Mat Pilates or equivalent, a recognised reformer certification, and experience on Pilates apparatus such as tower or chair, from an accredited provider. Public liability and professional indemnity insurance, right to work in the UK and a basic DBS check.
What we offer:
45 GBP per class for 6 classes a week plus 21 GBP per hour for around 20 hours of non teaching time, roughly 690 GBP per week and 35,000 to 36,000 GBP annualised on that pattern, with paid holiday. Cover classes at 45 GBP. Workplace pension, free studio membership and sauna use, staff discount on treatments and retail, in house training at no cost to you and no training agreement. Real ownership of programming in a new design led studio, and scope to develop a signature SONA class that carries your name as its creator.
