Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, subject-varied lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Lead the development of a core subject area in line with the National Curriculum and school goals.
- Foster academic, social, and emotional growth while maintaining high standards of pupil welfare and behaviour management.
- Work alongside therapists, external specialists, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
- Monitor individual growth, keep detailed records, and manage safeguarding protocols diligently.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Proven background in a primary or special school setting, ideally supporting children with SEMH needs or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
- Strong collaborative skills, emotional resilience, patience, and adaptability.
- Full eligibility to work in the UK (an enhanced DBS check is mandatory).
- Experience managing EHCP documentation, annual reviews, or subject leadership.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices, therapeutic methods, and guiding teaching assistants effectively.
