2 x positions available - Field Harvesting & Packhouse Work
Immediate starts available. Interviews can be held in Burscough, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Southport or surrounding areas, followed by a site visit.
- Location: Ormskirk (Halsall area)
- Pay: £13.00 per hour up to 39 hours | £16.00 per hour thereafter
- Breakout room with microwave, kettle, heater and hot/cold water
- Designated smoking shelter
The role
We are recruiting 2 x Harvesting & Agricultural Operatives for an established independent agricultural business with over 35 years' experience.
The role will initially focus on 6-8 weeks of field harvesting, working outdoors alongside harvesting machinery and assisting with the harvesting of brassica produce.
The role will also include packhouse duties, including handling, sorting, grading and packing freshly harvested produce.
There may also be general agricultural and yard duties as required.
Following the harvesting period, there is an opportunity to continue into a 12-week temp-to-perm position, based on performance and attendance.
Air Pods / wired earphones are permitted where appropriate, provided they are not exposed or create a safety risk.
PPE provided: Steel toe-cap wellies, gloves, coveralls, waterproofs and hearing protection.
