An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team as a Housekeeper.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring a clean, safe, organised, and well-stocked clinical environment.

Working as part of the multidisciplinary Cath Lab team, the post holder will provide a comprehensive housekeeping and support service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and environmental safety.

With patients at the centre of everything we do, we are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and organised individual who is committed to delivering excellent standards and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.

A significant aspect of the role will involve stock management within the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.

Responsibilities will include monitoring stock levels, ordering and receiving supplies, replenishing consumables, conducting regular stock checks and audits, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all items are stored safely and appropriately.

The post holder will be expected to identify and upscale stock shortages or supply issues in a timely manner to minimise disruption to clinical activities.

  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe Cath Lab environment in accordance with Trust policies and infection prevention standards.
  • Ensure that clinical and non-clinical areas, including procedure rooms, recovery areas, and storage rooms are kept clean
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and documented appropriately.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues, spillages, hazards, or equipment defects.
  • Stock Management and Stock Taking
  • Conduct regular stock checks and stock taking of clinical and non-clinical supplies.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supplies are maintained at all times.
  • Rotate stock using expiry date checks and remove expired or damaged items.
  • Replenish consumables in procedure rooms, recovery areas, and storage areas.
  • Assist with ordering supplies through approved procurement systems.
  • Receive, unpack, and store deliveries ensuring accurate stock records are maintained.
  • Report low stock levels, shortages, and supply issues to the designated manager.
  • Support monthly and annual stock audits as required.
  • Work under the supervision of registered staff and within own level of competence.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of clinical equipment used in patient care.
  • Participate in training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Uphold Trust values, policies, and standards of care.
