Job Summary
Shakti Paan Food is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our retail and online food business. We offer a range of authentic Indian groceries, snacks, spices, beverages, paan products and everyday essentials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to support revenue growth and market expansion.
- Identify new customers, commercial partners, suppliers and sales opportunities.
- Build relationships with wholesalers, distributors, local businesses, community organisations and corporate customers.
- Explore opportunities to expand the company’s retail, online and business-to-business sales channels.
- Conduct market research to identify customer demand, competitor activity and emerging market trends.
- Develop promotional campaigns and customer acquisition initiatives.
- Promote the company’s product range to new and existing customers.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, quotations and commercial agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, supply terms and partnership arrangements.
- Work with suppliers and management to introduce suitable new products and product ranges.
- Analyse sales performance, customer behaviour and business development results.
- Identify underperforming product categories and recommend strategies to improve sales.
- Maintain accurate records of business leads, customer contacts and commercial activities.
- Monitor business development budgets and ensure resources are used effectively.
- Collaborate with retail, purchasing and marketing teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Represent the company professionally at business meetings, networking events and relevant trade activities.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies and applicable legal requirements.

- Experience analysing sales data, customer demand and market trends.
- Experience within food retail, grocery, convenience retail or e-commerce is desirable.
Qualifications
- A Level 3 qualification in Business, Management, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline is desirable.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics are preferred.
- A degree or professional qualification in Business, Marketing or a related subject is advantageous.
