We are looking for a kind and compassionate personal assistant to provide afternoon care for a gentleman in his 40s with advanced multiple sclerosis.
As personal assistant, some aspects of your role would be to
- Provide personal care (including washing, dressing and toileting)
- Provide companionship
- Help with domestic tasks
- Administer medication
A huge part of this role is to provide a fun and engaging home environment for your client, who is great fun to be around and has an infections sense of humour.
The gentleman is a wheelchair user and has his own adapted vehicle so arranging enjoyable days out would be very welcome.
Full training will be provided on use of
- Ceiling track hoist
- Accessible vehicle
- Catheter care
- Moving and handling
We are looking for someone who can work 1-3 afternoons per week. Typical hours would include:
