About the Role
The Handyperson is key to the welfare of our residents at Wellburn Care, ensuring high standards of general maintenance for the care home and surrounding areas. We are looking for a self‑motivated handyperson who can prioritise their own workload and has a general knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, including basic plumbing, joinery, and household electrical fittings.
Responsibilities
Your role will involve:
- Performing all minor repairs within the home
- Identifying and reporting defects
- Undertaking Health and Safety checks (training will be given)
- Maintaining the appropriate records
- Keeping the homes safe and comfortable for residents
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Self‑motivation and strong organisational skills to prioritise workload
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, joinery, and electrical fittings
- A keen eye for identifying necessary maintenance work
- Experience in maintenance or a related field is desirable
