Salary: £34,186 - £37,389 per annum inclusive of HCAS

Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

Performs work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine. Responsible for the calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment (electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building control and automation, standby generator plant, security access control, CCTV, nurse call systems and data-communications).

  • Install, maintain, service and repair a range of electrical equipment
  • Use computer applications software for accessing, programming and fault diagnosis for the Building Management System
  • Undertake fault finding on complex LV networks, critical systems and equipment.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commissioning tests in accordance with Trust procedures
  • Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary
  • Responsible for undertaking portable electrical equipment and fixed installation testing and general inspections.
  • To follow planned maintenance schedules.
  • Undertakes electrical testing and monitors results to ensure compliance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671. Requesting remedial works or emergency isolations as and when required
  • Responsible for undertaking Electrical installations in accordance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671
  • Interprets and follows the regulations at all times
  • Immediately notifies the Maintenance Supervisor of any deviation from the regulations
  • Follows detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Uses all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works
  • Undertakes inspection and commissioning tests for the installation and issues the appropriate completion certificates
