We are looking for a proactive, organised and approachable ward administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of our intermediate care rehabilitation ward in Halstead. This is a varied role combining administrative duties with responsibility for maintaining a safe and well-organised ward environment. The post holder will play a key role in supporting the nursing and multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective systems, high standards of organisation, and a positive experience for patients and their families.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ward team, including scanning, filing and maintaining accurate patient records on electronic systems.
  • Ensure documentation is processed, stored and accessible in line with organisational standards and policies.
  • Support data collection, reporting and information gathering required for audits and service monitoring.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of ward activities, including meetings, training sessions and reviews.
  • Monitor order and maintain appropriate levels of clinical and non-clinical stock.
  • Ensure stock is stored safely and appropriately in line with policies and procedures.
  • Report faulty equipment and escalate as per policy.
  • Assist with any non-clinical tasks that enable clinical staff to focus on patient care.
  • Provide accurate records and information to support governance processes.
  • Undertake mandatory training as required.
  • Maintain an understanding of organisational policies, procedures and protocols relevant to the role.
