What skills and experience we're looking for
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Officer to join the team at Trinity Academy Akroydon.
In this role you will be supporting the operational leadership of the pastoral system across the academy with the aim of raising the aspirations/self-esteem and attendance of students as well as supporting the development of enrichment activities which contribute to students’ emotional and academic development. You will also liaise with staff, parents, other education institutions and multi-agency partners to support students’ progress and overall development.
What we need from you?
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/5 or above, including English and Maths.
- Experience of working with young people with SEN or behavioural issues.
- An understanding of student’s welfare and pastoral needs.
- An ability to communicate effectively with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working with young people and families.
- A commitment to inclusive education.
