You’ll be joining our Street Lighting Team in Enfield!

As a major supplier of specialist highway electrical services, our streetlighting teams maintain and design over 350,000 street lighting assets

  • What you'll be doing
  • Complete technical audits of internal teams from the Audit schedule in NERS management system.
  • Ensure any actions from audits are closed out in timely manner.
  • Support LRQA with surveillance and renewal assessments.
  • Assisting with the organisation’s NERS management system and ensure continuous compliance with NERS accreditation requirements.
  • Oversee and maintain competence records, training and NERS passports alongside NERS Assessing Officer.
  • Assist NERS Assessing Officer and Authorising officers with decision making on competence of staff.
  • Undertake NERS Technical audits on Sub-contractors across the business on all contracts to assist maintaining compliance.
  • Oversee on-site training of New Jointers and Jointers mates.
  • First point of contact for onsite Technical Advice.
  • Ensuring personnel meet NERS competency requirements through training, mentoring, and documented authorisations.
  • Trainee or Under supervision Cable Jointers and Mates successfully being signed off fully.
  • NERS Accreditation Maintained Without Interruption.

The organisation retains all NERS accreditation scopes with no suspensions, restrictions, or major non-conformances, reflecting a fully compliant and well-maintained management system.

  • Any actions from Technical Audits closed out in timely manner.
  • Successfully passing Quartey LRQA on site surveillance visits.
  • Toolbox Talks and DNO updates briefed out to all relevant operatives and recorded.
  • New NERS scope accreditations gained.
  • Completion of Monthly site audits/assessments in accordance with the HEA Competency Scheme.
  • Quality of work is actively managed through ITP’s, check sheets, and reported.
  • Delivery of work on site in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance where required for ISO 9001/14001/18001, HEA, Sector Scheme 8, NERS and NICEIC.
  • Leading by example and challenges others to raise their standards.
  • You will be required to travel to different sites frequently
  • What you'll bring
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
  • Approved NERS – Qualified Supervisor.
  • Strong Knowledge and Technical Expertise in LV Networks and NERS Requirements
  • HERS Approved Person.
  • A person appointed by the NERS Provider in writing as NERS Technical Advisor.
  • Appropriate level of DNO qualification and operational experience (subject to the relevant scopes of work undertaken/to be undertaken).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of the tasks Auditor is to oversee. Demonstrates deep knowledge of LV electrical distribution networks
  • Skilled in performing technical audits, identifying non-conformances, analysing root cause, and ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions aligned to NERS audit requirements and scheme governance.
  • Ability to supervisor the works in accordance with programme output requirements & Quality Standards
  • Experience in leading staff with confidence and judgement ensuring that they work as an effective/efficient team, offering positive and flexible leadership and inspiring, encouraging, motivating, and supporting staff to deliver excellent results
  • Ability to assess the impact of risk and opportunity and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment and deliver excellent customer service.
