Onslow Infant School is seeking a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Senior Midday Supervisor to join our supportive and dedicated team.
This is a rewarding opportunity and plays a key role in ensuring that our children enjoy a safe, happy and positive lunchtime experience.
The role is permanent, working 4.5 hours per week i. e.
Monday to Wednesday, 11.30am–1.00pm, term time only and involves working with children in the EYFS and Key Stage 1.
In addition, opportunities may arise for paid work experience in a teaching support role.
As Senior Midday Supervisor, you will lead the lunchtime hall team and oversee the smooth running of the lunch service.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supervising the set-up and clearing of the dining hall and lunch service.
- Supporting and supervising the Midday Supervisor and other support staff.
- Ensuring pupils have a safe, enjoyable and sociable lunchtime experience.
- Promoting positive lunchtime behaviour and maintaining high standards of conduct.
- Reporting incidents appropriately in line with school policies and procedures.
- Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of all pupils during lunchtime.
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience of supervising or leading others.
- Has previous experience of working with children.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding, child welfare and experience of CPOMS (desirable).
- Is confident working independently and using their own initiative.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to helping children feel safe, happy and included.
