About the role
Examinations Officer Activate Learning is looking for a proactive and highly organised Examinations Officer to join our team in Surrey.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting student outcomes by managing all aspects of the examinations process.
As an Examinations Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering exam sessions in line with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations.
You’ll work closely with various internal teams-including faculty staff, learning support, and the data team-to ensure examinations run smoothly and efficiently across the group.
In addition, you will support in the recruitment, training, and coordination of invigilators to ensure exams are conducted professionally and fairly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of exam sessions, ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations
- Work collaboratively with academic and support staff to ensure seamless exam delivery
- Manage examination entries, assessments, and results processing for learners
- Train and supervise a team of invigilators, ensuring readiness for examination periods
- Maintain accurate records and use internal systems to manage exam-related data
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37 hours per week on a term-time only basis (0.88 FTE).
The role is based across our Guildford and Merrist Wood campuses, with occasional travel to Farnham College as required.
Interviews will take place at Guildford College on 9th & 10th September.
