Duties of a MET Technician
- Carry out mechanical repairs and bodywork on allocated vehicles
- Conduct dismantling, fault diagnosis, and diagnostic work
- Perform reassembly using new parts as required
- Conduct inspections and vehicle testing to ensure safety and roadworthiness
- Identify faults or additional work necessary for safety or efficiency
- Road test vehicles safely and legally when instructed
- Maintain high standards of quality control throughout all repair processes
Requirements of a MET Technician
- Proven experience as a MET Technician within the automotive industry
- Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- ATA qualification advantageous but not essential
- A strong commitment to safety and vehicle quality
