As a GP and Health Assessment Doctor at Nuffield Health, you will benefit from more time getting to know your patients as people whilst carrying out thorough health assessments and private GP consultations. You will have time to pay attention to the little things that really count, in a low-stress, patient-focused environment.

We will maximise your time to focus on providing first class preventative and primary care to your patients, and underpin your precious time with protected administration time, along with a commitment to protected learning time. Whether you are seeking full time or part time hours, we make sure that everything is wrapped up between 9am - 6pm to help with a healthy work-life balance.

Your role at Nuffield Health:

  • Working alongside our experienced Health and Wellbeing Physiologists, you will deliver a variety of face to face Health Assessments and GP consultations, with a focus on wellbeing.
  • No quotas or unrealistic targets - just great care.
  • You will utilise our user-friendly platforms and benefit from enhanced pathways whilst having access to our state-of-the-art clinics and a national network of hospitals.
  • There are also opportunities to contribute to our charitable purpose through our programmes, where we work in partnership with the NHS, other healthcare providers, research institutes and charities.

As a GP and Health Assessment Doctor, you will be:

  • On the GMC register, on the GP register and have a licence to practice.
  • Willing to provide a minimum of 2 days per week.
  • After qualifying as a GP, you must have completed 6 months GP experience of 6 sessions per week in the UK with knowledge of UK care pathways. The 6 months GP experience must be in a traditional GP setting (NHS GP surgery). Any other work including out of hours work will not be counted.
  • In the last 6 months, you must have been doing a minimum of 4 sessions per week as a GP.
  • Competent in a range of health screening services, such as smear tests, breast examinations and venepuncture, as well as interpreting results and ECGs.
