As a Best Start Hub Connector, you will play a key role in helping children and families access the right support at the right time.

Working across Best Start Family Hubs and community settings, you will build trusted relationships, identify needs and connect families with services that improve wellbeing, strengthen resilience and support positive outcomes for children.

You will be a friendly and welcoming presence within our Family Hubs, helping families navigate support and access early help, health, early years and community services.

Through strong partnership working and a commitment to early intervention, you will help deliver Hampshire County Council's vision of giving every child the best start in life.

What you'll do

  • Support the delivery of the Best Start Family Hub offer, including activities, programmes and community-based support.
  • Help families engage with services and access support that meets their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and partner organisations to coordinate effective joined-up support.
  • Apply reflective, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches in all aspects of your work.
  • Maintain accurate records, upholding safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Level 2 qualification (or above) in Early Years, Education, Health, Child Development or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people aged 0-19, particularly those aged 0-5, and collaborating with professionals across services.
  • Good knowledge of child development, early intervention, safeguarding and local support services.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to confidently engage a wide range of families and stakeholders.
