Duties:
- Servicing, inspecting, and repairing HGV trailers to meet safety and compliance standards
- Diagnosing and fixing faults, including complex EBS system issues (HALDEX, WABCO, KNORR BREMSE)
- Completing detailed compliance documentation accurately and efficiently
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
- Participating in ongoing training to maintain and enhance technical skills
- Assisting with routine maintenance tasks such as wheel checks, brake adjustments, and axle servicing
- Supporting the team in maintaining a high standard of workshop operations
Requirements as a HGV Trailer Technician:
- Proven experience working as an HGV Trailer Technician or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role
- Relevant industry qualifications, such as City & Guilds or NVQs in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Experience with semi-trailers, trailer diagnostics, or heavy vehicle systems
- Knowledge of EBS diagnostics (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO) is highly desirable
- Welding skills and axle manufacturer experience (BPW, SAF, JOST) are advantageous
- Familiarity with tail lift and double-deck trailer maintenance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards
