JOB OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity to join The Magnum Ice Cream Company’s finance team in a role focused on forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning and financial insight. Working as the Finance Analyst you will partner closely with stakeholders across the site, helping to consolidate financial inputs, review performance trends and highlight risks and opportunities. The Finance Analyst will support planning cycles, build and maintain financial models and provide analysis that helps drive practical action across the business. As the Finance Analyst, you will also help identify and track benefits from strategic initiatives, review costs and support continuous improvement in reporting and finance processes.
DUTIES
- Build and Maintain Financial Models: Develop complex financial models, forecasts and scenario analysis to support business planning and decision-making
- Support Planning Cycles: Assist with the annual budget, monthly forecasting and long-term planning processes
- Consolidate Financial Inputs: Gather and review financial information from multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Provide Insightful Analysis: Highlight risks, opportunities and performance trends through clear financial reporting and analysis
- Partner with Stakeholders: Work closely with site stakeholders to educate, challenge and support them in delivering action
- Track Strategic Benefits: Identify and monitor benefits from strategic initiatives and improvement programmes
- Review Costs: Analyse costs and identify opportunities for efficiency, improvement and better financial performance
- Improve Reporting Processes: Support continuous improvement in reporting, financial processes and ways of working
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Part qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified through experience
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting or management reporting
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner, engage and challenge stakeholders
- High attention to detail, with strong problem-solving capability and a desire to identify and drive solutions
- Willingness to work on-site, as hybrid working is only occasional
DESIRABLE
- Experience working within a cost centre setting
