Personal Assistant - Newburgh - Casual Contract (SDS/JM/314322)
We are looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to join a small, friendly team providing support to an elderly couple, both aged 91, in the comfort of their own home.
This is a relief/casual cover role with an immediate start available due to one of the current team members being unavailable. The role is ideal for someone looking for flexible work, providing cover for holidays, sickness, and additional support when needed, including times when family members are away. Typical shifts would be: 2.5 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the evening around mealtimes.
The role will include preparing simple meals, snacks and hot drinks, ensuring that the couple are supported to eat and drink comfortably throughout the day. There will be some light housework duties involved in this role including keeping the home tidy and helping with laundry.
Support with showering and personal care will be required alongside providing companionship to the couple by building a friendly and trusting relationship.
Reliability and trustworthiness are essential, as the role involves working in the couple’s own home and providing support at agreed times.
Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a warm personality, a caring nature and a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support two wonderful older people while becoming part of a friendly, family-focused care team.
