5 hours 15 minutes per week (split over 7 days; ideally suited to 2 Personal Assistants)
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support a friendly and independent 59-year-old gentleman with daily living tasks.
- He is a wheelchair user with severe COPD and requires some assistance with:
- Personal care: Morning shower or basin wash, and evening preparation for bed.
- Dressing assistance: Helping with clothes for the day or night.
- Light meal preparation: Making sure breakfast is ready and organised for the day.
This role is about more than just care – it’s about building a trusting relationship and understanding his needs, as energy levels can vary day to day.
The family will provide full guidance and an induction on how to assist, including safely managing the oxygen tanks in the home.
About You
We’re seeking someone who is

- Experienced: Previous experience in similar roles or working with disabilities is a plus.

- Membership in the PVG Scheme or willingness to undergo an enhanced PVG check.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with family guidance.
