Duties as Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences
- Deliver pre-planned lesson materials across a range of subjects
- Maintain a calm, productive, and positive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Ensure students remain engaged and focused on their learning
- Record attendance and report any concerns to relevant staff
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and student behaviour
Experience and Skills:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence leading classes independently
- Organised, adaptable, and professional approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
