Role – Transport and People Support Worker

Contract Status – Permanent

Hours - 4 x 20 hours per week (2 x term-time, 38 working weeks per year)

Reporting to the Assistant Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting vulnerable service users to various locations both within and outwith Glasgow boundaries and also within allocated timescales. You will promote a professional image and be reactive and responsive to journey requests. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality at all times and deal with emergency situations using your initiative. In addition, you will have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team and you must display a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.

A full current UK driving licence is essential, you will be asked to carry out a driving licence check. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks. These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
