Where will you be working? We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Water Division, working on one of our current three frameworks with Scottish Water.

  • SR21 DV1: Capital works water and wastewater framework, delivered by the Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA) Joint Venture. Primarily infrastructure and civil engineering project improving network resilience and protecting the environment.
  • SR21 DV2: Predominantly MEICA based capital maintenance framework on existing water and wastewater assets. Upgrade, refurbishment and high value capital maintenance projects.
  • SR27 DV4: The integrated design and construction of civil and infrastructure projects within SW 12 years enterprise arrangement. Project and programme opportunities across the full capital investment programme.

What will you be doing? Under the supervision of the Temporary Works Manager, this role oversees projects from initiation to completion, taking responsibility for planning, designing, and managing temporary works solutions. It ensures options are assessed for cost, constructability, and compliance, while maintaining high standards across safety, quality, environmental, and commercial performance. Responsibilities include conducting TW checks, supporting estimating, preparing and reviewing designs in line with BS5975 and CDM regulations, and carrying out audits. The role provides technical guidance, supports buildability reviews, and fosters strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring efficient delivery, risk reduction, and customer-focused outcomes across complex and challenging projects.

What you’ll bring: Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that fosters client ties and supports the long-term northern business plan. Seeks and participates in personal development opportunities with the professional development of an accredited body. Educated to BSc, BEng level. Experience of using AutoCAD 2D Software. Knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015. Understanding of relevant modelling software packages and their application.
