The predicted salary is between 32040 - 39160 Β£ per year.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Retirement Housing Officer to join a well-established housing organisation on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with strong customer service skills and experience supporting older or vulnerable tenants within a housing, care or community-based environment.

  • Your new role
  • Deliver an enhanced housing management service to tenants living in retirement housing accommodation.
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, their families and external agencies.
  • Promote tenant independence, wellbeing and participation.
  • Carry out regular tenant welfare visits and settling-in visits for new residents.
  • Signpost tenants to relevant support services and community resources.
  • Liaise with Social Work, Health Services, Care Providers and other partner agencies.
  • Respond to emergency alarm provider enquiries during working hours.
  • Coordinate and support tenant activities and social events.
  • Conduct estate inspections and report concerns where required.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams regarding repairs and planned works.
  • Support tenants with access arrangements for housing management and maintenance visits.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with incoming enquiries as required.
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience working within housing, retirement housing, supported housing or a customer-focused community role.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable customers and working with external support agencies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A customer-focused approach with a genuine desire to support tenants and improve services.
  • Access to transport to travel between schemes if required.
