We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to support a major cloud transformation programme involving the migration of a critical legacy platform to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Working within a regulated, multi-supplier environment, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and successful delivery of software releases, ensuring changes are implemented safely, compliantly and with minimal impact on live services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Release Manager with strong governance, stakeholder management and change delivery experience to play a key role in a large-scale technology transformation.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end release life cycle across development, testing and production environments.
- Develop and maintain release schedules aligned to programme milestones and business objectives.
- Coordinate release activities across multiple delivery teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Lead release planning, readiness assessments, deployment reviews and post-release evaluations.
- Manage release dependencies, risks, issues and mitigation activities.
- Ensure robust deployment, rollback and contingency plans are in place.
- Act as the primary point of contact for release communications across technical and business teams.
- Chair release governance, readiness and review meetings.
- Maintain release documentation, audit records and governance artefacts.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Release Manager within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Release Management and Change Management best practices.
- Experience working within regulated or highly governed organisations.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working within Agile, Dev Ops or hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong planning, coordination and organisational abilities.
- Experience using release planning, deployment and tracking tools.
- Experience supporting cloud migration programmes, ideally Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and release automation tools.
- Understanding of infrastructure, hosting and cloud technologies.
- Experience coordinating deliveries across multiple suppliers or third-party vendors.
The successful candidate will ensure all releases are delivered in line with change governance, security and compliance requirements.
You will work closely with programme leadership, technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to manage risk, maintain service stability and support successful programme delivery.
Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating release risks, managing incidents and deployment challenges, supporting audit requirements, analysing release outcomes and driving continuous improvement across release processes, governance and automation capabilities.
