Mobile Fitter to join a busy service team operating in and around Glasgow. This is a fully mobile position, requiring the

Mobile Fitter to travel to customer sites and depots to carry out repairs, servicing and breakdown support on a wide range of plant, accommodation units and small tools.

You will represent the business on the road, delivering fast, safe and reliable technical support while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain plant, accommodation units and small tools on customer sites and at the depot as a

Mobile Fitter .

  • Attend breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime and ensure hire commitments are met.
  • Complete scheduled servicing in line with operational requirements.
  • Record all customer‑damage repairs and raise accurate paperwork.
  • Manage van stock and request required parts from depot stores.
  • Perform welding tasks on plant and accommodation units (training available).
  • Complete cosmetic repairs including panel replacement and touch‑up painting.
  • Conduct electrical diagnostics, fault‑finding and repairs on mobile equipment such as excavators, dumpers and telehandlers.
  • General Duties
  • Work safely at all times, following Health & Safety directives and method statements.
  • Wear correct PPE and maintain a hazard‑free work environment.
  • Check company vehicles before use, report defects promptly, and drive safely and professionally.
  • Report all accidents or incidents through the correct channels.
  • Support environmental and quality compliance processes.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by your Line Manager or Director.
