HVAC Engineer - Glasgow - Salary up to £47,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team, working across a range of commercial and client sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong background in heating, ventilation and air conditioning to join a growing business and develop their career.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and installation works across a variety of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
- Attend reactive maintenance call-outs and diagnose faults efficiently.
- Carry out repairs and remedial works to HVAC equipment.
- Service, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
- Complete routine inspections and identify potential issues before they develop into major faults.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and HVAC equipment.
- Complete service reports, job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health and safety procedures.
- Work in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and clients.
- Provide a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Participate in an on-call rota where required.
- The successful candidate may have experience working with some or all of the following:
- Air conditioning systems
- VRV / VRF systems
- Split and multi-split systems
- AHUs and FCUs
- Ventilation systems
- Heating systems
- Pumps and associated mechanical equipment
- Chillers and cooling systems
- BMS controls
- Heat pumps
Person Specification
- Previous experience working as an HVAC Engineer, Air Conditioning Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical services.
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to complete paperwork and service reports accurately.
- Flexible approach to working across different client sites
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- City & Guilds or equivalent HVAC qualifications.
- F-Gas certification, where applicable.
