We are now looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Site Team Member to join us.

The Role

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in facilities management, caretaking, or estates maintenance.

Working under the guidance of our experienced Site Manager, you will learn the ropes of school operations while playing a hands-on role in keeping our school in top shape.

Your daily responsibilities will include

  • Security: Assisting with the opening and closing of the school premises, ensuring all buildings are secure.
  • Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, DIY tasks, painting, and general upkeep.
  • Health & Safety: Conducting routine safety checks and reporting hazards.
  • Grounds & Cleanliness: Ensuring the school grounds are tidy, managing waste/recycling, and dealing with emergency clean-ups or gritting during winter.
  • Event Setup: Moving furniture and setting up halls for assemblies, exams, parents' evenings, and community events.
  • Working Hours & Flexibility
  • Standard Hours: 37 hours per week, worked on a rotating shift pattern (covering early mornings and late afternoons/evenings).
  • Overtime: Rainham School for Girls is a bustling community hub.

There will be frequent opportunities for evening and weekend overtime to support school events and external lettings.
