As a General Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping residents feel comfortable, supported and at home.
Your work will contribute directly to creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment where people can relax and recharge after a busy day.
About the Role
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
You'll support both housekeeping and catering operations, helping maintain high standards across accommodation, communal spaces and dining areas.
You'll work alongside a supportive team and become an important part of creating a positive experience for every resident.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services
- Maintaining bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms and facilities to excellent standards
- Cleaning and servicing rooms and en-suite facilities
- Supporting laundry operations when required
- Assisting with food preparation, food service and dining area setup
- Keeping kitchen, dishwash and service areas clean and organised
- Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained
- Replenishing supplies and maintaining stock levels
- Correctly managing waste and recycling
- Reporting maintenance issues and resident feedback
- Following all Health & Safety and COSHH requirements
- Supporting deep cleaning schedules and service improvement initiatives
- Creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for residents and visitors
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the site
What We're Looking For
- Experience in hospitality, cleaning, catering, customer service or housekeeping is desirable
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Friendly and approachable personality
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliable and organised approach to work
- Comfortable carrying out the physical duties associated with the role
- Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential
