We are seeking a highly skilled full-time Clinical Psychologist with broad experience to join our team at University College Hospital. The gastrointestinal services division at University College Hospital is one of the largest in the UK, comprising clinical and academic consultant physicians working within the subspecialty areas of upper GI/laser medicine, HPB medicine, lower GI/IBD, nutrition, and clinical physiology.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Gastroenterology Psychology Service. We are a small skilled and varied multidisciplinary team of psychological professionals providing specialist gastroenterology psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to patients and teams within UCLH. We work directly with multidisciplinary teams across Neurogastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and into other cross-disciplinary teams across gastroenterology outpatient and inpatient services.

The post-holder will be the main Clinical Psychologist working with adults primarily with IBD and GI Physiology patients within GI Services Division to reduce/prevent undue psychological distress and promote recovery within the parameters of wider NHS, trust and professional governances and psychological evidence. Close liaison with UCLH GI Physiology clinical staff and with local community-based services will be essential.

The Adult Gastroenterology Psychology Service is located within the GI Services division and is responsible for the provision of psychological services for adults, primarily across Neurogastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). You will work collaboratively on the implementation of psychological services for adult patients under the Neurogastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and other gastroenterology teams where necessary.
