Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) is a joint venture forming a patient-centred pathology network with a clear vision to provide a combined, integrated, and modern pathology service with employee well-being and development at its heart. The complete service model is based on a multi-site strategy, which delivers both routine and specialist in-house testing whilst providing fast results to patients. Our success depends on professionals meticulous about clinical excellence, patient-centred service, and personal development. In return, we drive knowledge sharing, training, an open culture, and in-house development.

The post holders must be medically qualified and have full registration with a current license to practice with the GMC. If applicants are UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. If applicants are non-UK trained, they will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT (i.e., CESR) or be within six months of obtaining such an award by the date of the interview.

A high level of competence and full participation in diagnostic histopathology will be essential, and involvement in departmental audit is required. Applicants both with and without well-developed subspecialty interests are encouraged to apply. Practitioners unable for personal reasons to work full time are welcome to apply for this post.
