Full Time, Part Time & Relief Opportunities Available

Ark is recruiting Female Support Practitioners to join our services in Forfar. Successful candidates will initially become part of a dedicated team supporting a young woman in her own home, helping her to live independently and achieve the outcomes that matter most to her.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred support and build a positive professional relationship with the person you support. The lady enjoys a range of activities including horse riding, swimming, rebound therapy and attending local social events, as well as spending time in her own home.

As a Support Practitioner, you will provide support with all aspects of daily living, including:

Personal care

Medication administration

Household tasks

Supporting participation in activities and community opportunities

Promoting choice, independence and wellbeing

Support is provided from 7am to 11pm, with sleepover shifts included as part of the rota.

The person you will be supporting is non-verbal, so the ability to develop an understanding of individual communication styles and provide consistent, responsive support is important.

Weโ€™re looking for people who are:

Caring and compassionate

Reliable and committed

Calm and resilient

Observant and responsive to individual needs

Passionate about supporting people to live good lives

Previous experience in social care is beneficial but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

While successful candidates will initially support this new service, they will be part of Arkโ€™s wider Forfar team and may be required to provide support across other local services in line with operational requirements.

Please ensure your CV/profile contains your full employment history, qualifications and any relevant experience, as this information will be considered alongside your responses to the application questions.

Please note Ark is not a UK Visa Sponsor.

All interviews are conducted in person.

This post is restricted to female applicants under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of the support being provided.
