As Room Leader, you'll take ownership of your room and lead by example, creating an environment where children feel settled and practitioners feel supported.
You'll have the freedom to bring ideas into the room, develop your team and ensure every child's individual interests and developmental needs are reflected in their daily experiences.
What We're Looking For
- Full and relevant
- Previous experience as a
Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner , or within a similar senior early years position.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
- Confidence leading, supporting and motivating a room team.
- Ability to plan engaging learning experiences around children's individual interests.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A warm, approachable and hands-on leadership style.

Your Role
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room.
- Lead, support and motivate practitioners to deliver consistently high standards of care and education.
- Create engaging learning opportunities that encourage children's confidence, curiosity and independence.
- Ensure the room remains stimulating, organised and welcoming throughout the day.
- Observe and assess children's development, using their interests to plan appropriate next steps.
- Build strong relationships with children and their families.
- Support and mentor colleagues, encouraging their continued professional development.
Work closely with the wider management team to maintain high standards throughout the nursery.
