- Purpose of Job: To work as part of the commercial catering division, Academy catering, providing quality catering and support services to customers throughout the College facilities.
- Principle Accountabilities: To perform work as required by the Catering Services Co-ordinator in any area of operation e.g. Students Centre, Bistro, Restaurant, Central Stores, Retail Shop and to include any of the following duties:
- Preparation of simple food items e.g. sandwiches, chips, etc.
- Service of food to customers.
- Working on tills.
- Setting up and restocking service counters.
- Filling vending machines, as required.
- Washing up in appropriate areas.
- Washing of pots and pans where needed.
- Assisting in clearing and cleaning of tables in dining areas where appropriate.
- Cleaning utensils, equipment and surfaces in accordance with Academy Catering Health and Safety Policies.
- Collection, sorting and delivery of linen / laundry to all areas of catering facility.
- Delivering food / beverages throughout the College.
- To support College policies, procedures and quality assurance systems.
- To perform such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as required by your Line Manager.
- At all times deliver a professional approach in all aspect of work, treating all staff, students and the wider college community with respect.
