Hands-on QA Operations role in regulated manufacturing, supporting medical devices and cosmetics at a busy Folkestone site.

About the role

Quality and compliance depend on strong GMP oversight at every stage.

In this hands-on position, you'll work across manufacturing and goods-in to ensure materials, documentation, and release decisions meet approved standards-helping drive a proactive quality culture on the shop floor and in the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote and embed GMP and a proactive quality culture across QA and Production.
  • Carry out QA activities supporting the manufacture and distribution of medical devices and cosmetics.
  • Inspect, sample and evaluate incoming components/packaging against approved specifications.
  • Review, approve and release components and packaging materials in SAP (Systems, Applications and Products).
  • Review batch records, manage discrepancies, and support batch/finished product release.
  • Manage deviations, non-conformances and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) via the Agile system, ensuring timely closure.
  • Maintain compliant TQM (Total Quality Management)/GMP documentation and controlled records.
  • Maintain reference samples and controlled artwork libraries; provide Certificates of Analysis (Co A) as required.
  • Provide QA oversight at goods-in (including rejection labelling) and resolve issues cross-functionally.

Skills & experience

  • Strong attention to detail and confident decision-making using data and evidence.
  • Good IT skills (MS Word/Excel) and comfortable working with quality systems.
  • Able to plan ahead, use initiative and respond positively to change.
  • QA experience within a regulated industry (FMCG, medical devices, pharma, cosmetics).
  • Knowledge of ISO 22716 and/or ISO 13485.
