We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering Manager. Are you passionate about supporting the wellbeing of others through food? We are looking for a Catering Manager to join our Care home in Scleddau, Fishguard.
Helping to ensure our residents enjoy a nutritious, varied, and enjoyable dining experience.
Purpose of the Position:
- To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.
- To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.
- To operate and supervise other staff in order that all purchases are controlled within a specified budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- To control stocks and purchases, thereby allocating the quantities of materials.
- To be aware of the residents’ needs and dietary preferences and maintain a balanced diet and varied menus.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness with in the kitchen as I.A.W. Environmental Health guidelines
- To actively contribute in the preparation and cooking of food and the cleaning of the kitchen area.
- To ensure that all kitchen staff are trained within the requirements of current legislation.
- To keep the purchase of materials within allocated budgets.
- To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- A reasonable level of numeracy and literacy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to complete in-house training.
- Paid breaks and handovers (where applicable)
