About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in providing expert financial advice and insight to directorates, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and objectives are achieved within budget.
You'll lead on management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and the financial evaluation of key programmes, working closely with senior leaders to deliver value for money and robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for directorates, ensuring alignment with business plans and strategic objectives.
- Provide expert advice on financial performance, supporting the delivery of complex funding programmes.
- Champion strong financial controls and governance, safeguarding public funds.
- Build effective partnerships across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Deliver financial training and guidance to empower colleagues.

What We're Looking For
We're searching for a finance professional who is
- Qualified (CIMA/CCAB or equivalent) with practical experience in a similar role.
- Skilled in financial controls, reporting standards (CIPFA/IFRS), and local authority finance.
- An advanced user of Excel and accounting software.
- A strong communicator, able to influence, negotiate, and build relationships at all levels.
- Experienced in managing budgets, analysing complex financial information, and leading change.
