A Personal Assistant is required to support an older lady to continue to be happy and well in her own home. Currently, her daughter is her full-time carer, so the job will enable her to have some time away from the house.
Role
- Helping to provide nourishing meals
- Maintaining a clean, peaceful and comfortable living environment
- Doing the laundry
- Supporting well-being through stimulating and creative activities
- Helping her to get washed and dressed in the morning, and ready for bed in the early evening
The position may suit somebody who is retired or semi-retired who lives in the Filey area, or someone looking for part-time work. We are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, self-aware and professional. Experience of working with people with a cognitive impairment would be beneficial.
Work Hours and Schedule
Mutual flexibility with days and hours is an option. Roughly 4-6 hours per week over 2 days to begin with (possibly Wednesday and Thursday) potentially leading to more in the future. Occasional holiday cover may be needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in Home care: 1 year (preferred)
- Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
- Language: English (preferred)
