Salary: £11.85 - £21.10 per hour / £26,190.45 - £46,632.30 per annum, depending on level of experience

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Technician for a busy & well-established family run business.

  • Repair vehicles (mainly HGV but there would also be light vehicles to work on too) and make routine maintenance checks to ensure that the vehicle is running as it should be.
  • Perform diagnostic work on vehicles to resolve issues using relevant diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensure vehicle servicing activities are completed in a safe and high-quality manner in line with both internal and manufacturer requirements.
  • Good technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Possess the ability to work well with customers, maintaining a patient and friendly attitude.

Requirements needed for the role:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Vehicle Technician experience since being qualified
  • Qualified to City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Effective diagnostic skills
  • A strong interest in motor vehicles
  • A class 1 or 2 licence would be an advantage but not essential
  • A solid interest and/or experience in vehicle diagnostics and electric/hybrid vehicles would be advantageous as we potentially see this role progressing within the field.
