Camfaud Group employs over 300 staff across various depots across the UK and due to our continued expansion, we are actively seeking trainee Concrete Pump Operators to join the team.
The role
We are looking to recruit people with an HGV license to drive and operate our state-of-the-art concrete pumping equipment.
We will provide training in Concrete Pump Operations up to NVQ level 2 and also fund your CSCS card.

Once fully trained the role involves driving, positioning, and setting up our concrete pumps at building sites across the region.
Job Responsibilities
The training scheme covers both practical and theoretical training, you will be fully supported by our in-house trainers as well as onsite training by an experienced operative which will include:
- Driving concrete pumps to and from customer sites
- Safely setting up and positioning machine to hirers requirements - including laying and connecting out the necessary pipework to correct placing positions.
- Operating concrete pumps in line with relevant health safety and environment standards.
- Cleaning and maintaining plant in line with relevant health safety and environment standards and best practice.
- Following safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work.
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements in relation to your role.
- Managing the health and safety impacts of working with high concrete pumping pressures.
- Undertaking relevant maintenance procedures to ensure the plant is operated safely.
- Undertaking all required daily weekly and monthly checks.
- Completing pre-work machine checks, and priming machine for pumping duties.
- Safely returning vehicles/machines to operating depot
- Preparing plant for following days' work e. g., grease, oil, water, and fuel
- Stowing, parking, and securely locking vehicle.
- Completing and submitting relevant paperwork.
- Representing Camfaud in a professional and knowledgeable way.
- Building relationships and working effectively with contractors and customers under time critical conditions.
- Liaising with site management to ensure method statements are followed correctly.
