As a Family Brief Intervention Worker, you will join our Child and Family Wellbeing Service in Warwickshire, working as part of the School Nursing Team to support children, young people and families across the county. This is a rewarding community-based role where you will help deliver the Healthy Child Programme for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years, and up to 25 years for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will work directly with children, young people and families, providing early intervention, health promotion and practical support that helps improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities. Working across schools, community settings and family homes, you will play an important role in helping children and young people make positive lifestyle choices, improve their wellbeing and access the support they need to thrive.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive School Nursing team that is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families across Warwickshire. The team works collaboratively with schools, health professionals and community partners to deliver high-quality public health services and early intervention support. Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the delivery of public health programmes and evidence-based interventions that help improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people and families. You will work under the guidance of School Nurses to deliver health promotion activities, brief interventions and targeted support across a range of settings. You will contribute to health needs assessments, support delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme and provide advice and guidance on a variety of health and wellbeing topics. You will also deliver group sessions, attend community events and help families access the services and support available to them. Working closely with schools, health professionals and partner agencies, you will help ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time. Safeguarding will be a key part of the role, and you will be responsible for identifying and escalating concerns appropriately.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Health, Childcare, Youth Work or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Minimum of one year's experience working with children, young people and families
- Experience delivering health promotion or wellbeing interventions
- Experience working within health, education or community services
- Understanding of child development
- Knowledge of health issues affecting children, young people and families
- Understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and electronic records systems
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Ability to travel across Warwickshire

- Additional training in child health, safeguarding or health promotion
