Job requirements Forklift Operative: We are looking for a Forklift operative in our Yard to join our established Despatch team at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for loading/unloading, operating machinery and daily equipment counts.

Shift pattern: Monday-Friday 18:40-03:10

Duties:

  • Operate Counterbalance forklift or other hand truck
  • Operate Telehandler to move and tip dolavs into a trailer
  • Operate Shunter truck to move trailers on/off the loading bays and in the Offal area
  • Weighing the Offal (CAT2/CAT3) trailers on the weight bridge to maintain the required trailer fill
  • Record the required information on the daily checks (trailer lists / trailer checks)
  • Follow quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
  • Perform daily equipment counts as required
  • Unloading/Loading deliveries of the equipment (pallets, dolavs, trays)
  • Inspect and perform maintenance of Counterbalance, Telehandler and Shunter (pre-start checks)
  • Use a compactor and empty the rubbish bins on a regular basis
  • Cleaning as you go, litter picking, pressure washing and preparing the yard for all weather conditions

What you will need:

  • Shunter License/ HGV - Essential
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence - Essential
  • Telehandler Licence - Preferred
