We are looking for a Butcher to join our established team here at Cranswick Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production.

We are also open to applications from candidates who are already within the UK and who require sponsorship, provided you have demonstrable relevant experience.

Shift Pattern

  • Days: 06:40 – 17:10 Tuesday- Thursday and Saturday, Friday is 06:40-15:10
  • Backs: 13:10-01:40 Monday & Friday, Tuesday-Thursday 17:10-01:40

Duties

  • Poultry butchering and the processing of poultry carcasses with particular focus on fillet breast, thigh filleting and drum de-boning
  • Able to demonstrate discipline in trimming levels and product quality
  • Responsible for maintaining hygiene standards as part of duties
  • Removal of feathers and internal organs, the extraction of edible offal, the removal of feet and head from poultry carcasses and dressing
  • Weighing, labelling, packing and stacking of finished product as required

What you will need:

  • Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
  • Enjoy working to targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess high standards of work
  • Have a basic level of both written and verbal English
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Ideally have experience of working within the food production industry, however this is not necessary as full training will be provided

Pay and benefits:

  • Rate of Pay - £13.79 per hour (inclusive of £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus)
  • Rate of Pay - £14.56 per hour (inclusive of £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus)
