We are currently looking for a Post 16 Vocational Skills Instructor to deliver any vocational subject. As a mentor, you will plan and deliver learning programmes to small groups or one-to-one, virtually and face-to-face, to enable them to explore and assess their own skills and progress their functional skills.
As a Vocational Skills Instructor, you will deliver engaging and inclusive learning programmes to small groups and individual learners, both face-to-face and online. You will support learners to develop vocational, employability, and personal skills while working closely with families, employers, schools, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning sessions
- Supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Conducting assessments, setting targets, and monitoring learner progress
- Embedding English, maths, and digital skills within learning activities
- Providing pastoral support and person-centred guidance
- Developing work experience and community engagement opportunities
- Maintaining accurate learner records and documentation
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and partner organisations
- Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality at all times
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check with a 6-month probationary period. ETF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners, including children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
